The Chickadee by Brevard Tiny Homes.

I've always had a secret, wild desire to own a tiny home, but this has sent that desire into overdrive. A proper kitchen with full-size appliances! Coo. I just can't stop looking at it.

This was me all weekend. Duck = Chickadee

Luis Laplace farmhouse renovation.

If you think the exterior is intriguing, wait 'til you see the interior.

This is not your normal farmhouse renovation in the country. Luis Laplace designed the interiors with an experimental approach, resulting in a dualism of good and bad taste, new and vintage, art and design.
...The farmhouse is devoted for guests, including artists installing changing exhibitions at the gallery.

The Vipp Shelter

Wow. Just...wow. Since I'm not a huge fan of being out in the middle of nowhere, I'll just take one of these dropped on top of a building in London, thank you.

The Vipp Shelter is a minimalist prefab concept located in Copenhagen, designed by Danish design company Vipp. A 55 square meter steel object emerges in a rugged landscape framed by naked trees and a silent lake that mirrors in the sky frame window facade.

(I have to say, though, I'm not a fan of the logo on the top. On a camper or temporary shelter, it wouldn't seem that intrusive, but, somehow, having it on top of a house-like structure seems wrong to me.)

I have no burning desire to be rich, but, man, this makes me wish I was.

...the 15-foot-wide Upper East Side townhouse has just sold for $6M, a smidge above the $5.85M ask.

Narrow House in Horinouchi, Japan.

I never tire of seeing how people can create beautiful homes in the most unlikely spots. Design is cool.

The 595 square foot contemporary residence sits on a narrow triangular lot between a river and a road in Suginami, one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo, Japan. (hmDSGN)

Minimalist house in Portugal | Manuel Aires Mateus

Breathtaking.

The contemporary house has been split into two sections – one for sleeping and one for relaxing. The sleeping section has been accommodated below the ground so that one can enjoy a noise and trouble free sleep.

nr1977 by MihaDesign | Spoon & Tamago

The design of this space is brilliant.

Naoto Mitsumoto and Naoko Hamana of architectural studio MihaDesign were asked to renovate an old apartment that was constructed in 1957. Working within the confines of a 2-bedroom, 770 sq ft (71.5 sq mt) apartment, the designers were asked to propose a solution for the owners – a husband and wife with 4 kids – who desperately needed to come up with a creative use of the limited space.

Atelier Takagi | Subdivisions

These table lamps are fab. AND the product detail references the Rush song, which made me smile – it's the first thing I thought of when I saw the name.

In between the bright lights
And the far unlit unknown"

Kumagai House.

This house in Japan takes my breath away.

The structure is composed of two structures: a three-level tower and a single-story base. The base section is buried 28 inches into the ground — deep enough that the dining table becomes level with the outside garden. The rooftop of the base section, which raises an individual slightly above street level, becomes an additional space within itself.

The tower, although physically separate, accommodates the base section with a broad visual of the surrounding neighborhood and scenery. Standing eight meters tall, the tower provides its residents with a stunning view of the mountainous regions within the area.

The Hello Wall.

If I were to write a crime novel, I would SO use this as a plot device to help my fleeing protagonists communicate.

Wasted Spaces commissioned London-based artist duo Hellicar & Lewis to develop The Hello Wall.

The installation went live this Monday, March 8th. It uses Twitter to let the public interact with the huge wall projection on Wembley High Road.

Until Sunday March 14th, you can get interact with this live artwork by Tweeting commands to @thehellowall. You can use shapes (triangles, squares, circles), commands (more, less, shake) or just say hello@thehellowall.

The Hello Wall.

Looks like they're looking for another space for it now. Wish we could afford to bring it over here to shine on our office building...

The Tiny Transforming Apartment.

24 different rooms in 330 square feet. I'd seen online features about this over the last year, but seeing it on video is MINDBENDING.

Best lecture hall ever.

This would have cheered me up no end during college.

Museum 1302 features customized, colorful versions of the furniture line’s 01 Chair, its seat and backrest upholstered in different hues. Against the auditorium’s spare grey walls and cement steps, Room 26 bursts as wildly as pop rocks. The chairs achieve what Studio Arne Quinze intends—“infectious creations that pull you into their self-shaped sphere and hold you captive.”

Copper City.

There are far too many beautiful prints in the world. It's just unfair.

These extra special prints are printed on .25” thick wood panels! 18” x 24”, s/n edition of only 15! Printed with a SUPER NICE metallic copper and rich brown inks. Looks really awesome in person.

Living Space by Oliver Schick.

As a new owner of a modern condo in an old Victorian building, I got butterflies looking at this. So beautiful.
