Celebrity Gene.

Everything about this disturbs me and/or freaks me out. I'm hoping it's a spoof, but I fear it's not.
Buying a limited edition product that has the DNA of a famous person
alive or dead is the ultimate in celebrity memorabilia and provides an
undeniable personal connection to that individual. It not only helps
raise money and awareness for the celebrity’s cause, it also brings
attention to how important DNA is to everyone.

Ghastly Find Has LAPD Brushing Up On History.

This is SUCH a great story.

"Two infant skeletons wrapped in 1930s newspapers and placed in doctor's bags were found inside an unclaimed steamer trunk by a woman cleaning out the basement of a 1924 building that's being converted to condominiums, authorities in Los Angeles said.

The skeletons, believed to be decades-old remains of fetuses or infants, were discovered late Tuesday in the 4-foot-tall green trunk inscribed with the initials JMB.

Other things found in the trunk included cigarettes, a green bowl, black and white photos, letters, a book club membership certificate inscribed Jean M. Barrie and ticket stubs from the 1932 Los Angeles Olympic Games."

The Baltimore Block.

A set of very unique dollhouses. Almost unsettling when you look at her other work.

(I know it shouldn't be funny, but, well, it just is. To me.)

Urban disguise to combat crime.

Although street crime is relatively low in Japan, many Japanese say they feel growing anxiety about safety. Ms. Tsukioka begins the transformation from dress to machine...

Ms. Tsukioka said her idea of the vending machine disguise was inspired by a trick used by Japan’s ancient ninja, who cloaked themselves at night under black blankets.

"Richard Burton Rendering Hamlet."

Oh, heavens. Tickling $2 million and absolutely dreadful. I must put an eBay watch on this one.

And while you're at it, take a look at some of Frank Sinatra's Early Works -- ghastly paintings of dames by Ol' Blue Eyes, himself. I dare you.

The stupid side of the internets.

Lonely Attractive Inmates in the USA Seek Penpals

Can you imagine what it must be like for attractive men and women to be without companionship? These incarcerated female and male inmates are paying a price for crimes they have committed. These inmates are very real and are seeking you! Why not give it a try? Make the day of a lonely inmate! He/She will get excited when his/her name is called to receive a letter from you. Just think how lonely it must feel at mail call to never hear your name, especially after being locked up for several years and family and friends have deserted you. All of these prisoners behind bars have written me a letter requesting to be listed. It can be a lot of fun communicating with these individuals. Don't be shy, give it a try!"

Day of the Dead Bendy Mariachi Band

I don't know if I've ever posted something simply because I loved the name so much. Alas, I can't resist.

Start your own Muertos serenade with a set of 3 little Day of the Dead Mariachis. These are bendy - so you can position them in many different musical ways. There are several different instruments that each might be playing, so your set may be different than another. When standing straight, our little fellows measure about 4 inches tall.
