Ho-Ho Hairball.

When it's called Ho-Ho Hairball, do you really need an explanation? I think not. You must simply enjoy.

SALE: Silver vinyl storage box.

At $28 (originally $68) this is a great deal. 16"L X 6"W X 12"H.

It’s amazing how modern and architectural this rib-textured silver metallic box looks on a shelf or against a wall and how well it keeps magazines and papers organized. Is it real metallic leather or… faux? Made of vinyl but so hard to tell. You’ll probably want to get several for your den or home office. You can always line them up as vases, filled with dried branches, when you entertain.

Chateau Marmont Light Bulb

As a big fan of hotels, I think this is fab.

Presenting a very special item from the Chateau archives. Pan, the hotel’s mischievous mascot glows in a royal purple and the hotel’s monogram glows a festive green. Perfect for areas where low light is welcome. This crystal clear bulb comes boxed for gifting or sharing with the message, “Glow in Peace.” (Unfortunately the fixture is not included.)

MUJI Aluminum Coffee Table

I love the simplicity of this.

(Unfortunately, my floors slant so much, I've had to remove all wheels from furniture in my apartment. If I didn't, all roll-y furniture would be lined up along the south wall.)

Bread Bin.

I've always wanted a nice bread bin. A bit pricey for melamine, but this one is lovely, and the top doubles as a cutting board.Nice touch.

While silly, these actually would have come in handy at our company tree-trimming party earlier today.

The napBook laptop case.

This would be such a great gift for your favorite commuter or workaholic. So sad it looks like it's only available in Reykjavik. Or it's a prototype. I can't tell which.

The Napbook is a laptop case which also happens to be a comfortable cushion. It is designed for students and commercial people of 105 Reykjavík. Whether it be a class at LHÍ, a lengthy business meeting in Borgartún or just the odd journey home the Napbook should come in handy for the restless. It is sewn by a 105 Reykjavík local sewing room and it should be available at the Apple store around the corner.

Vintage British Trolley Bus Sign

I wish someone would make an affordable reproduction of this. Gorgeous.

SPECTACULAR trolley bus sign from Bournemouth, a large coastal resort town on the south coast of England. Cricket, Tennis, Circus, Carnival, Pageant...it doesn't get better than that! I've never seen a sign like this before. The sign is matte black and white printed on linen. The linen signs were most likely made in the late 1940's, early 1950's, quite possibly for the Festival of Britain (a mini World's Fair) in 1951.

Today was a robot-y good day.

Why? Because I got an early birthday present -- my lovely boyfriend bought me a new Nerdbot. This one is named Colt, and he's fabulous. Thank you, monk!

For the life of him, Colt can’t figure out how to use zippers and gets incredibly frustrated when it comes to chopsticks. In his free time, he enjoys painting ceramics and polishing his collection of gems and minerals. He’s currently studying mollusks and dreams of one day traveling the country giving lectures on the topic.

For a Brief Time Only.

A photo exhibit at my local Walgreens or CVS? I couldn't resist.

12/3 Update: Just got a message that my pics are ready for pickup at CVS.

On view November 6 to December 4

For a Brief Time Only... is a purchasable exhibition of 24 artists available at a photo developer near you. [...] The image files will be sent to the closest location near you, and within minutes you will be able to walk in and pick them up as prints.

This exhibition contains 24 small 4x6 photographic prints contained within the packaging provided by each store. Also included are a contact sheet with all the artists' information, and a letter to the store employee reassuring that there is nothing wrong with the order.

No money is being made by us in this exhibition. You will purchase the show directly from the store (unless you can acquire it another way), which will probably cost around $5. We would like to make it clear that we have no intentions in promoting sales in these places, which will mostly include major US drug-stores. We think of it more as infiltrating these spaces with our games.
