I think it's beautiful. Spartan. Almost monastic. They concentrated on the things they love (eating, music, gardening, specific pieces of furniture, a few pieces of art) and made a space that fit those things. Based on the statement on the site, it's clear the house was a labor of love, built with family and friends' help. I find it fascinating.
