Tim Gunn, Marvel action hero?
Oh, hell - I need to pick this up. I heard about it earlier, but they never mentioned TIM GUNN.
The runway divas include Millicent Collins (a k a Millie the Model), Patsy Walker, also known as the superheroine Hellcat, and Mary Jane, the model-turned actress who is the sometimes wife of Peter Parker, the Amazing Spider-Man.

Lincoln Park Black Torchiere.
Okay. You guys are gonna think I've lost my mind (a tochiere lamp on my blog?!) but hear me out.
I bought one of these at Lowes this weekend because I needed more light to paint. (No overhead light in the room.) This lamp is GREAT. It gives off the same bright, warm, dimmable light as a halogen lamp but the bulb is only 55 WATTS AND the lamp costs around 40 bucks. 
Replace your halogen torchiere with this compact fluorescent torchiere. Halogen torchieres typically consume 300 watts of electricity, the lamps get as hot as 800 degrees Fahrenheit, and if used 4 hours each day at $0.08/kWh the annual operating cost will be $43.00. This compact fluorescent torchiere uses 63 watts of electricity, the lamp runs at about 120 degrees Fahrenheit, and if used for 4 hours per day the annual operating cost will be $7.36.
This Good Earth Torchiere comes in a black finish with a solid bowl, directing all of the light upward. The dimmable 55 watt 2-D compact fluorescent bulb will provide a light level roughly equivalent to a 250 watt halogen torchiere. The bulb is rated to last for 10,000 hours. The torchiere itself stands at 72 inches high, and weighs 16 pounds.
(I'm thinking about making it slightly more aesthetically pleasing with vinyl decals. Though I must say, it's pretty unobtrusive as it is.)

Double-Sided Fractions Signs.
I would LOVE an entire wall of these signs. 
Vintage double-sided metal price fraction signs. We love the odd use of fractions and bold white-on-black graphics. These slightly smaller-scale signs are in moderately worn vintage condition and measure 6" x 8".

Animal bookends.
Kristel, you're right. These are fab.
Simple but mirthful in style. Nice size and weight that can be used to hold up most heavy items to act as a bookend, CD/DVD stand, or even as a door stopper. Thoughtful and though-provoking infographics posters from the tremendously-talented Toby Ng.
This is a self-initiated project based on the scenario – If the world were a village of 100 people. There are a few different versions of this text in circulation about the world’s statistics. I found the data very striking and neatly summarises the world that we live in. So I used information graphics to re-tell the story in another creative way. I designed a set of 20 posters, which contain most of the information. I used simple vector graphics that related to a statistic in order to present the information in the simplest and most accessible way.

Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "fifth of May") is a regional holiday in Mexico, primarily celebrated in the state of Puebla, with some limited recognition in other parts of Mexico.[1][2] The holiday commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of Mexican General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín. The outnumbered Mexicans defeated a much better-equipped French army that had not been defeated in almost 50 years.
Cinco de Mayo is not "an obligatory federal holiday" in Mexico, but rather a holiday that can be observed voluntarily.
While Cinco de Mayo has limited significance nationwide in Mexico, the date is observed in the United States and other locations around the world as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride. A common misconception in the United States is that Cinco de Mayo is Mexico's Independence Day, which actually is September 16 (dieciséis de septiembre in Spanish), the most important national patriotic holiday in Mexico.

“The Incredibles” Mid-Century Ideal
I've had this cued up for awhile and completely forgot to post it. 
The home of Bob and Helen Parr in “The Incredibles” is one of the finest examples of mid-century modernism in all of animated cinema. Thanks to Pixar’s skilled artists and miraculous CGI, every detail in the architecture to the furniture to the decor can be an idealized depiction of an American suburban residence in the ’60s. Cheers to production designer Lou Romano and art director Ralph Eggleston for giving fans of this style so much eye candy.
