Beefy magnetic whiteboard.

I wish we only had these at our studio.

This is a nice whiteboard suitable for office use that doesn’t allow any notes to look too serious.

Dimensions: 118×68 cm (46.5″×26.8″)

Art.Lebedev: Korovus Magnetic whiteboard - $250

Plastinkuzz pocket scratch pad.

This is the kind of thing that I definitely don't need, yet would find irresistable if I saw it in a store.

It’s a scratch pad the size of a credit card. Forty different color versions available.

The Elephant Men

Limited edition print of 100. Signed & numbered.

{ Sideshow } Series: “The Elephant Men”, New York City’s Coney Island, circa 1896.
(minus watermark on printed version)

Fine art print of original collage illustration. Snippets of vintage turn of the century theater/carnival posters paired with hand drawn letterforms and other maniacally small pen and ink embellishment details.

Printed with high-end, archival pigment inks on German heavyweight fine art paper for beautiful color and details to last a lifetime. The printed reproduction of color and details is really amazing, I am so pleased with the results.

Approximate 7.5" × 10.75" image floats on 11" × 14" fine art sheet.

Snow White and Seven Dwarfs Daft Punk = Dwarfed Punk - My Modern Metropolis

Excellent career advice.

Confusing cupcakes.

Love these. (Yup, they're really cupcakes.)

Fiona Carswell product design.

These art/design projects made me laugh.

For people who go to great lengths to see what they want to see, Cell Stickies is a small booklet of plastic sheets with ego-stroking text messages printed on them.

Not satisfied with the text message you received? Peel off a Cell Sticky and slap it on your cellphone screen, showing you the message you really wanted to see.

When the glasses are in the tray, the eye chart appears in focus. When the glasses are removed, it appears blurry.

Concept for an eyeglass tray using thermochromatic ink and a pressure sensor.

Photoshoot at casa swissmiss.

I can't tell you how geeked I am that my long-distance roommate, swissmiss, and my home-away-from-home in Brooklyn are going to be in Apartment Therapy's upcoming Small Spaces book. I'm talking big sister proud here, folks. Girlfriend is a constant wonder to me. Congrats, T!

We had an exciting morning here at casa swissmiss. Maxwell of Apartment Therapy showed up with his fabulous team to photograph our place for their upcoming Small Spaces Book. Very exciting. Ella was a total ham and played along nicely. Maxwell’s team was delightful and consisted of Jim Franco, the photographer, Kan Kanbayashi, Joe Maer and Ben Weber. A delightful team and a fun way to spend one’s morning. Can’t wait for the book to come out!

p.s. I hope they got my favorite coffeemaker in the world in those photos. And the heavenly shower. And Gary, my long-distance roommate-in-law!

SeaVees / Pantone sneaks.

Normally I have zero interest in shoes, but these definitely appeal to the design geek in me.

With the creation of the 09/63, SeaVees celebrates the founding of Pantone, and the release of the first PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM in September 1963. For the first time in their 45 year history, Pantone has allowed an external design team into their hallowed archives. SeaVees has selected seven vintage colors from the original Pantone color guide. The palette, chosen from the only authentic guide known to exist, epitomizes the cool, casual style of California in 1963. The series production has been restricted to 1,963 pairs.

Vintage Mid Century Zenith Radio.

Someone please buy this, so I won't be tempted.

1950's Danish Modern tube radio by Zenith. If you are wanting to be 100% ; to the core mid century modern then you will want this AM FM "long distance" radio. Radio is in Danish walnut cabinet and in very good condition. It plays and sounds great. Radio is 10" in height X 16" width and 7 3/4" in depth. It has a small nic approx. 3/8"on top edge. We colored with dark walnut and it now does not draw attention from the beauty of the piece.

My favorite part of having a blog is getting comments, especially tips about products I might like to check out. I got a tip from Guido Ooms about his company's Solar Birdhouses. So sweet.

shopSCAD: Wings by Clifton Henri.

I'm completely in love with this photo.

Shop SCAD :: Clifton Henri

BTW - If you're ever lucky enough to tool around Savannah, be sure to stop at the shopSCAD store on Bull St. One word of caution: don't expect low prices just because the artwork is by students. Most of the artwork was well out my my price range, but still worth browsing and enjoying.

I wish they had this in a simple gunmetal grey, but I'd consider buying it anyway just to see my Oskar in it. It would make me laugh EVERY TIME.
