Scary, but interesting.

In the last decade a bizarre and violent musical subculture has emerged with a strong root in Norway's ancient Pagan mythology. Norwegian Black Metal, which has since become the country's largest musical export, became infamous in the early 1990's in the midst of a violent uprising of church arson and murder. Devoted followers of this music and lifestyle torched over twenty Christian churches, including the famous 800 year old Fantoft stave church, in an attempt to rid Norway of Christianity and revert back to its Pagan/ Viking roots.
