The Dictionary of Wisconsin History

I knew about our Socialist congressman, but I'd no idea that Wisconsin was the birthplace of malted milk. Or that Hurley, WI, was once described as a place where "gambling, prostitution, bootlegging, and dope are about the chief occupations of the place."
