Serpentijn Art & Athletics

One of the things I'm most grateful for in my life is knowing ubersmart, motivated, kind people.

Case in point: one of my favorite people in the whole world, my buddy Jason Reimer, recently launched this amazing little company – Serpentijn Art & Athletics.

Serpentijn was founded In 2015 to make a positive impact through art and athletics, based on the belief that both play a vital role in learning and living life to its fullest [...] 10% of each purchase you make goes to a worthy non-profit organization, selected by you during checkout.
Serpentijn's first products include designs by illustrator Keith Negley and painter Barbara Ignatiev.

Hey Milwaukee! Come see Swissmiss!

My sweet friend and long-distance roommate, Swissmiss, will be here at the design firm where I work. Come hang out with us.

From the Swissy herself:
Hey Milwaukee! I am so excited to announce an upcoming speaking engagement in your lovely town! Join me for an AIGA Talk on November 6th, 2009 6:30pm at Hanson Dodge who will be generously hosting the event.

Register Now! See you on November 6th! Yay!

From AIGA:
We are lucky to hear from contemporary designer and fresh-as-a-minute blogger extraordinaire Tina Roth Eisenberg. Counting her blog Swiss Miss as a vibrant part of her business model, Eisenberg is a Swiss designer who now resides in New York City. She studied design in Geneva and Munich and has worked at several prominent NYC design firms, including Thinkmap, where she was Design Director and helped design the award-winning Visual Thesaurus. Eisenberg now runs her own studio, with recent clients including the Museum of Modern Art and the Food Network. The self-proclaimed “Swiss Miss” says, “My aesthetics reveal my Swiss roots – I am a firm believer in white space and clean, elegant design.” Tina Roth Eisenberg is a well-rounded, gregarious and energetic designer and true lover of design. She will share insights into the work she’s done in New York City and how her blog has opened many doors.

Photoshoot at casa swissmiss.

I can't tell you how geeked I am that my long-distance roommate, swissmiss, and my home-away-from-home in Brooklyn are going to be in Apartment Therapy's upcoming Small Spaces book. I'm talking big sister proud here, folks. Girlfriend is a constant wonder to me. Congrats, T!

We had an exciting morning here at casa swissmiss. Maxwell of Apartment Therapy showed up with his fabulous team to photograph our place for their upcoming Small Spaces Book. Very exciting. Ella was a total ham and played along nicely. Maxwell’s team was delightful and consisted of Jim Franco, the photographer, Kan Kanbayashi, Joe Maer and Ben Weber. A delightful team and a fun way to spend one’s morning. Can’t wait for the book to come out!

p.s. I hope they got my favorite coffeemaker in the world in those photos. And the heavenly shower. And Gary, my long-distance roommate-in-law!

Yay! Herwig's on Swap Meat!

Our buddy Herwig's silkscreen poster is featured on Coudal Partners' Swap Meat site today.

When Dan Herwig's mom was diagnosed with Leukemia last year, he joined Team In Training and ran the Chicago Marathon to raise money for research. Hand-pulling this print as a bonus for donors, Dan raised over $2000, and his mother's Leukemia is in remission. Proof, once again, that screenprinting is good medicine.
