I stayed at the Jupiter in May and I can't say it was too impressive. It looks really nice on the website, but what you don't see is just how small the rooms are, how small the bathrooms are and just how skimpy the towels are. I shared a 'big' room with a friend and it felt claustriphobic. The rates are high and what you are paying for is hip-ness. The bedding was nice, but the rest of the furnishings are spare and from ikea. The hotel is really loud on the weekend. There is a bar at the hotel and there are great happy hour specials. If hipness and trendiness is important to you go for it, but I would have rather stayed somewhere cheaper and more spacious.
I've been to a couple shows at the Doug Fir (speaking of awesome design) which is attached to Jupiter - and I've always thought how I'd hate to stay there because of the noise.

Thanks for the heads up. It's always good to hear from someone that's been to these places. I appreciate it.
