Called the Polaroid Plus, the new camera will use Zero Ink Technology developed by the tech company ZINK. The special paper has cyan, magenta, and yellow ink dye crystals embedded inside it, and the camera's job is to activate the colored dye in the appropriate places. Afterward, the camera can spit out a 2- by 3-inch picture to show your friends. Since it's a digital camera, the Polaroid Plus can also save the picture on a memory card of up to 32GB. That way you can download the pictures later if you want to have them printed out a little bigger.Polaroid Introduces a New Camera That Takes Instant Inkless Pictures | Mental Floss

Camera Pen.
Oh, man. When my pal, Gretchen, and I start our bakery-slash-detective agency, I'm SO getting one of these. Maybe a dozen.

Slip this Camera Pen into your pocket and snap pictures or videos discreetly by just tapping the top. You can record up to 2 hours of video with audio or take nice, clean 2 megapixel images. It even has a motion sensor so you can record when you are not present. Built-rechargeable lithium-ion battery and built-in 4GB of memory (2.0 USB key) included.

(Thanks, Nate! This is brilliant.)

ZINK - the new Polaroid?

ZINK is the only technology that makes "on-the-go" printing possible. Your world is mobile, why shouldn't your printer be? Imagine being able to print on the soccer field, at a party, at a bar, or even while hiking. Fun times happen IN the moment, not when you get home to your printer.
The first ZINK-enabled products will be launched in late 2007 by our go-to-market partners.
