Vintage Typewriter Art.

Really fun.

Rathbone first started experimenting with this "type" of art when she was at her university. She purchased an old typewriter from a flea market with the hope that she would soon use it to write something. Time flew by before she decided to use it as a drawing tool because writing was not working out so well. Her first piece proved to be promising, and soon she realized that she could explore this new art form much further.

How To Not Die In A Plane Crash.

One of the funniest things I've read in awhile – handy tips for people afraid of flying.

My fave is:

8. Board the plane. Trace a bunch of religious symbolism on the outside of the plane with your finger as you walk through the door. Instant God-force-shield. Draw a little Yoda too, just to be safe. If you have time, a Dumbledore.

Private one person room by Paolo Maldotti

I've always wanted my own library.

It’s like a personal sanctuary where someone can just forget about everything for a moment. This is actually an egg-shaped structure divided in 8 segments. 6 of them are fixed while 2 are mobile. It’s a space that someone can decorate and furnish according to its personal needs and preferences. You can turn it into a personal reading space, into a TV-room, into a mini-spa or into anything else as long as the limited space allows you to.

Man candles.

I love this guy's initiative, and the fact that he has scents like Dirt, New Mitt and Campfire.

Almost every can has been purchased and the soup donated to a soup kitchen, hospital, church or other non-profit organization. A few empty cans have been donated to me. At this point over 3000 cans of soup have been donated.

Once the can is emptied, it's cleaned and the label is removed. That's about it, other than the making the candle piece.

We are trying to work with a few organizations to get recycled cans. Once we receive these cans we will be donating a portion of every candle sold to a local soup kitchen.

Himatic's robots.

These would fit nicely into my robot collection.

Andrea Petrachi a.k.a. Himatic creates his robotic sculptures from things most of people simply throw away.

his work is based on the assembly of ordinary objects, broken electronics, recycled materials and old toys.

Himatic see his work as a symbol of our out-of-control desire to buy things,a celebration of the human desire to challenge nature through technology.

Real Fake Art: A Gallery of China’s Copy Artists

In his series Real Fake Art, photographer Michael Wolf took portraits of professional artisans next to the Lichtensteins, the Van Goghs and the many disproportionately giant Mona Lisas mass produced in this fascinating, multimillion industry, timeless classics and contemporary art blockbusters alike.
